Its not EA's fault that they are limited to what the Wii gives them.

Its EAs fault, quick cash port, keep the game on the systems that its made for, you dont see Legend of Zelda on Xbox do you?

An on rails shooter that is a spin off of a game that didn't sell too much with it's fanbase on a different platform, and it wasn't advertised. How much would an on rails shooter sell on the Hd twins?

I would say pretty good

but look at the sales of rail shooters on wii
ghost squad 0.59
The House of the Dead: Overkill 0.40
The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return 1.09
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles 1.30
---------------------------------------------------------
= 3.38 million
RE:DC will probably bring it past 4 million
Guys, I gotta say, your excuses are pretty lame. Umbrella Chronicles and House of the Dead were both on rails shooters for the Wii, and they both sold over a million. Additionally, both games got much worse reviews than Dead Space: Extraction, so quality certainly isn't a factor. Perhaps being an on rails shooter disappointed a lot of people. But even that wouldn't result in the incredibly low level of sales it has.
My roommate just bought this game and I tried out the first level with him, playing co-op. I certainly don't hate the game (I really like the graphics, and I like how they really delve into the story), but the on-rails thing is a real turn-off for me. I like being able to explore a bit and get lost and screw up and such, and so far I'm missing that experience here. I left him to continue playing on his own to see what he thought of it (since he bought it), and I'm sure I'll play more of it, but I'll just echo the comments already stated above, that the game would've been better had it not been on-rails. I know the idea of the 'mature' game is a fairly hard-sell on the Wii, but it clearly has been done a few times with success. Is the Wii THE platform for 'mature' rated and first/third person shooter games? No, but it's a viable platform for those experiences nonetheless.
Bah!

Thats the best selling on rail shooter... the most known.... AND it didnt sell more than 74 000... thats not great...

The series (dead space) was on the HD twin... why would you port a new IP to new console and change it radically ?
If you think you're gaming too much, Game even more !

that's 720k not 74,000. However it is pretty much the only on-rails shooter available and it is a PS icon that has been around for quite some time. Try making 10 more on-rails shooters on PS3 and see how they start selling then.
