There was an onrail shooter revival in 07 to 08, it's over. Wii owners have bought a hell of a lot of on rails shooters, but in the end it's a niche genre like it always has been. You can only play these games for a couple hours at a time and they get sickening fast no matter how good they are. The reason it didn't sell wasn't because it was mature or an on rails shooter (look at the sales above, they all meet those requirements) it is because they missed the boat. You see how HOTD 2 & 3 sold so much more than HOTD: Overkill? People were starting to get sick of them already.
