I wish. But no it's not real. But DKJB almost looks as good. It's just has no Diddy Kong or Rihno power up.

Donkey Kong 64 wasn't very good even with Rare. In fact, I always thought Rare's 3D platformers were a bit weak. Donkey Kong Jungle Beat was pretty good, and I'm sure Nintendo will come up with something else good for Donkey Kong.

Switch Code: SW-7377-9189-3397 -- Nintendo Network ID: theRepublic -- Steam ID: theRepublic

Now Playing
Switch - Super Mario Maker 2 (2019)
3DS - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Trilogy) (2005/2014)
Mobile - Yugioh Duel Links (2017)
Mobile - Super Mario Run (2017)
PC - Borderlands 2 (2012)
PC - Deep Rock Galactic (2020)

I don't see the Donkey Kong Country series being revived under any circumstances. The closest to a revival would have to be Donkey Kong Jungle Beat which was a half decent game. Will we see another Donkey Kong game in the near future? We could recall Nintendo's press conferance at TGS 2005 when Miyamoto announced a new Donkey Kong game for the Wii. This game has become mythology today as it was likely cancelled do to the poor sales performance of JungleBeat and BarrelBlast.

After playing as Donkey Kong in Brawl I realized that their is a whole lot of potential left in the franchise and with Nintendo returning Mario to sidescrolling territory a good new Donkey Kong title is more then plausable. Say Nintendo EAD Tokyo was charged with making another Donkey Kong game, now that the studio has more experiance (Making MarioGalaxy) it could more then likely produce a great Donkey Kong title.

Which third party would be best suited to make a Donkey Kong title? I think Media Molecule would be the perfect company to take on Donkey Kong. We all saw the success of their platformer LittleBigPlanet, they have alot of talent when it comes to side scrollers. They were able to make a AAA+ sidescroller that was both visually pleasant and had the depth of a great AAA+ title.

No. Every game Nintendo have made sice DK64 with Donkey Kong has sucked. They also ruined Starfox with Assault.

No, Rare ruined Star Fox with Adventures. Namco killed Star Fox with Assault.

I actually liked Star Fox Adventures.  It was so different from Star Fox that i never even thought of it as a Star Fox game, which it originally wasn't.  I never played Assault though.

I think they're trying to make Donkey Kong intro their rhythm game franchise, at least for their consoles. But I'd rather see them make a new Donkey Kong Country, even over Mario Galaxy 2.
