Yeah there is a reason on why the Wii is in first place.  Wii launch price $250 PS3 launch price $500 - $600.

A low price didn't help the GameCube. Or the Xbox 360 Arcade when it was cheaper than a Wii.

You didn't mention anything about when the PS3 dropped to $300 and it was outselling the Wii.  That's when Nintendo had to drop the price of the Wii, so yes price is everything.

This is one hundred percent absolutely freaking ridiculous. The price was not everything for the few weeks where the PS3 outsold the Wii - did you forget that it was a hardware revision that helped to spur those sales?

Your oversimplification is so extreme that it reeks of intentional intellectual dishonesty.

The Wii was averaging like 180,000 sales weekly before the $50 dollar price drop that helped push it to 300,000+ and on top over the PS3.  There was no hardware revision there just a price drop.

Are seriously going to argue that price is the only factor between the Wii and PS3.  You mean the release of some big software releases in September and October had nothing to do with the PS3 sustaining good sales numbers.  So the other thing about price, is this the first generation of consoles where this price point has been the deciding factor?  Looking back at history, the cheapest console has not always been the most succesful.  So I would suggest thinking out the rational behind your statements before presenting faulty arguments.

Why are people still confused about this, most Wii owners are NOT core gamers. It's as simple as that, and it's also the reason why core games tend to sell bad for Wii.

Also Wii has the lowest 3th party software sales. And alot of those sales are cheap party games as well.

Well I kinda found the nintendo offering pretty good this gen...

Casual/new audience:
Wii fit
Wii sports
Wii sports resort
Wii music
Animal crossing

What i'd consider to be good games also for hardcore gamers:
Zelda Twilight
Super Paper mario
SMG
Metroid Prime 3
Punch out (could be casual.... but really the audience is 8bit Nint fans ^^).
Strikers charged
Mario Kart Wii
Batalion Wars 2
Fire Emblem RD
SSBM

if you really feel lacking regarding nintendo games, there's a problem...

Where are they?

Most of them are in my room. I might play one now, but which one? There are so many. I'm having trouble deciding. Maybe I'll just play that casual snooze fest know as Mario Kart Wii. :p

You're kidding right? Yes Wii software sales are pretty good, but over half of all software sold on Wii is from Nintendo themselves. And again most 3rd party software that does sale are cheap party games, old remakes or down-tuned 360/ps3 versions. Not saying there isn't anything good on Wii, there's more than enough. But as explained before, there are obvious reasons why the number of hardcore games on Wii is lacking.

"He says that the conception that Wii third-party developers can't have success is wrong. He did say that Nintendo took things seriously by launching Mario, Zelda, and Virtual Console swiftly. But he says that, last year, more third-party games were sold with Wii than any other platform, and the second-biggest was DS."

Talk quality and caveates all you like but your initial statement that "Wii has the lowest 3th party software sales", is wrong.
