Forums - Sony - I'm really not an uncharted fan.

Is the aiming any different from the first?

There is now a large reticule so you can blind fire more accurately, though not while hanging. You can also press R3 to zoom in rifles: the AK and M4 only zoom in a little, the FAL and Sniper have you looking through a scope. There is now a dedicated button for throwing grenades.

Other than that, no. But early enemies aren't as bulletproof as before (later ones are, because they're wearing armour).

Playing Uncharted now (figured I should finish it before I started 2) and the things you just listed there seem like fixes to everything I would've complained about.  Cool!

Is it any harder?  I started playing on "Hard" to see how bad it was, and haven't had any real trouble (maybe 1.5 hours in?).

The original game doesn't get hard until around Chapter 14. The sequel is roughly the same. But in Uncharted 2, everything after Chapter 20 is murderously difficult, more difficult than anything in Drake's Fortune. And that's on Normal.

Of course, on Crushing, the original is hard from the beginning. Not sure about the sequel, yet.

Yeah the first game really wasn't half of what the PS3 fans on this site claimed it was.

But by god that second game's campaign was great. At least minus the last 45 minutes perhaps.

I thought everything up to the bit where you have to fight the guardians for the first time in Shambhala was incredible, that part wasn't bad, it got slightly better, and the boss battle sucked.

Agree, boss battle wasn't great. Other than that i loved every second.  I read one or two reviews that said some of the action sequences towards the end started to feel abit dragged out.. but i found the variety between stealth, climbing, puzzles kept the action sequences far enough apart to make you start craving them pretty much the whole way through the game. And of course the game is going to get action heavy building up to the climax..

Did we play the same game?

Yes, it got harder than the rest of the game, but it wasn't actually hard. I'm at 21 on Crushing now, now that's where you can start talking about hard.

That sounds good. Does it have a button to center the camera behind the character, or is it second analog based again?

I might check this out, maybe the gameplay feels more intuitive now.

It's second analog based, but the running and gunning accuracy is a lot better than in DF.  You get used to the controls after a level or two... so absolutely get this.

Yes the game is absolutely amazing.

But MGS4 is still king!
