People's console badges don't prove anything. For instance, I own more games on my PSP/DS than all three home consoles combined. However, I only have one or two games from each of them in my VGC game list.

So if you look at my name right now, it says I own more 360 games than any other one of my consoles. The spot actually belongs to DS.

An easy solution is for them to just add a game from that console to get that tag.

but anyone can add any games they want to their profile, so they can just as easily add games from all systems.

Even if someone doesn't own a console, who says they don't live in a household that contains one, or are otherwise able to play games on that platform? The badging might be useful in passing, but (for example) suggesting disregarding someone who owns only Sony consoles about something Nintendo related is a pretty dangerous idea.

Sometimes those outside the realm of enthusiastic owners are able to see things better than those within.
