wow
If you compare Famitsu's Perfect scores to IGN you'll find a great in-balance in the force.
IIRC IGN only gave out 5 perfect review scores.
Orcarina of Time
MGS4
GTA4
Metal Gear Solid: Ghost Babel
Pokemon Red/Blue
Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.
"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Well there is a demo on the Japanese PSN store and on the Japanese XBL marketplace, though I'm not sure what's required to play the x360 demo.
Perfect chance if you're the type who likes playing games to determine if you like them or not, which for me atleast is preferable to having a "game reviewer" arbitrarily associate a number with that game's value.

I predict MAG will recieve a 40/40 from famitsu... if it releases in japan... Same for Eyepet.

Nope. Neither is Japanese. FF13 will get 40/40, and GT5, and maybe The Last Guardian. Perhaps Quantum Theory for good measure. And, of course, Zelda Wii and NSMB Wii. And Super Mario Galaxy 2.
While they're at it, why don't they give 40/40 to every game that comes out of Japan?
Gah! imo reviewers should hardly ever give out perfect scores, and especially with a huge margin like 40.

Not Mario 64, not Final Fantasy VII, not a single SNES game and then we have 6 games in the last two years getting full marks. They can do what they want of course, but if it were me I'd want to ensure some consistency over the years so you know that a game that got 35 back in 1992 is as good as a game getting 35 today. |
I agree. I guess the newer reviewers are easier on the new games, but I will say all of the games they've given a 40 to have been great games.
