I'm not against your system, as I said on the LBP thread, I think you have a very good system going on, and yeah, a 50% game normally is trully a very bad game, that's why I consider scoring any game lower than 7 can only be done if the game wanders into Big Rigs territory, IMO.

@Xxain

On a true 1-10 scale, A.K.A on a school grading system, 5 is considered average and it's enough for you to pass a test or a course. But when it comes to the entertainement business I agree the scale shifts slightly, since the quality is taken in the highest regard, and in that high regard, a 7 can be considered as being "Average" between mediocre Quality and Good Quality.

where do live??? because in NA 90-100 = A 80-89=B 70-79=C 60-69 = D and 50 and under =F no test i have ever taken on a 1-10 scale does 5 =pass

Here in portugal we have the 1-20 scale, in which 10 is considered "average" and thus enough score to pass a test. Thus if you convert it to a 1-10 scale, 5 is the "average" ;)

9.3 Just not enough that was new and fresh to get a higher score but everything that was there was great.

BTW: I only played the GC version so i don't know if you can/will include my score.

I guess it just depends on where u live...in NA that 1-20 scale u use 10 would=fail

Do not count my vote, but I wouldn't give any 3D Zelda game a score higher than 8.5

why not count your vote?

Well I didn't gave an exact score and I haven't played enough of TP to justify such a rating.

I know, I did some tests on the Wall Street Institute which kinda messed with my head when it came to the scoring system :P I guess each country has it's own way of scoring. Thankfully when it comes to gaming it's easier to have a globalization of the score system :P

9.8 I would say.

The game was pretty good length, the story was well done, and combat was a lot of fun. The transforming back and forth to a dog didn't work that well sadly. The characters tended to be pretty flat, but Zelda was a background character for once and that is a bold move if nothing else. I really liked the Twili story, and hope that one day the Zelda back story is unified officially. Not the best Zelda game, but Zelda games always tend to be the best so it is a hard standard to live up to.

7.5  <-- Orca_Azure gives me courage!!!

I LOVE Zelda, I have loved Zelda since I was 3-4 years old. It was the first video game I have ever played and I continue to love the original to this day more than any of the others, clear evidence of this is my incredible amount of excitement for the game in my sig, a game which pays much homage to old school Zelda.

Anyways, Twilight Princess just wasn't nearly as good as the ones that came before it, titles like LoZ, LttP and OoT. Twilight Princess was too dark for me, the dungeons were way too drawn out and in some cases, extremely boring, I am looking at YOU Sky Temple.

I played the game through and was enjoying it for the most part, but then I hit the Sky Temple. No joke, that portion was so incredibly boring that I did something I have never done before, I stopped playing a Zelda title. I eventually went back and finished it however, but not until over a year later and at that point, the damage is done, the game just won't ever measure up to the greatness of the (3) other Zelda titles I have mentioned.

Is it a good title? Yes it is.
It it extraordinary? Absolutely not.

I hope the next Zelda title goes the 3D Dot Game Heroes route. I want old school styled Zelda. I want Zelda the way it was meant to be, the way I remember it when it was at it's peak.

Sorry for the rant, but I really do have issues with this title. It makes it tough because it is issues with a series I have grown up with and have always loved.

Still love Zelda though.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I agree with Sky temble..it was just to long also..the boss was boring and incapable doin enough to kill you..only way u die is if u keep falling

Urgh, I hate having to use your 7 is average system.

I'd give it a 7.5 on that scale, it was a solid game but it didn't have any of the magic of older Zelda games in it. It just felt like a standard game.

The only interesting character was Midna. Actually the only interesting thing in the entire game was Midna.
