Forums - Sony - I FINALLY got Uncharted : Drakes Fortune! (2 years later!)

Ok I'm in the monastery now

How I feel about it now:
_____

Graphics -- VERY good still

Gameplay -- Platforming has decreased, which is a no no for me especially as I dislike its controls & the way that enemies take up WAY too many bullets! THe difficulty is medium.

Story -- GEtting interesting......I know the twist is that some zombies show up, but I don't know why that happens....but its getting a bit spooky.

sPecial mentions:

GOING up the waterfall in the Speed Boat was FUN, WHO ELSE went tot he top & then RODE all the way tot he BOTTOM again just for the fun? lol I did

THE JEEP CHASE SCENE WAS IMMENSE!

4th Best Chace Scene in a game EVER (number 1 & 2 being in MGS4 & number 3 being in MGS3).

Music is so boring now.....there is no variety :(
___________

Overall:

I like the game, it WOWS me in parts, then it has parts that are just simply boring.....the story which was gripping to me seem to be sidetracked, the puzzles are hardly there, platforming is there a bit.

8.8/10

I am glad I didn't pay £40 for it, but at £6 it was a bargain!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

if you are giving one 8.8 then 2 is gonna knock your ass right out lol.

^LOL

Am I just seeing things or did CGI just break his post? The cat picture is in his sig which is all fucked up ATM.

I disagree that the second has fewer puzzles. There are fewer puzzles in ratio to the rest of the gameplay, but since the game is twice as long it ends up being the same amount. They are very easy however, but to make up for that for those who like to think instead of just shoot, Uncharted 2's gunfights are much more strategic (with stealth, pathing, and platforming options available). There's also much more platforming in general, both during gunfights and during the rest of the game.

And to keep more people from hating me, I really do like Uncharted. It's a very good game. Just not a must buy game, and not something you have to own a PS3 for. Uncharted 2 is. Uncharted is not.

Again my opinion above. I am in love with Uncharted 2. Already almost beat it a second time, and the online is a blast. Haven't played co-op yet though.

On a 1-10 scale, what would you give both Uncharted games?

8.3 and a 9.5. Something around there.

It's like a coming out party in here for PS3 owners since I mentioned I wasn't blown away by the first game. Don't be afraid to be who you are PS3 owners! You don't have to love Uncharted! Uncharted 2 on the other hand you will be lynched if you don't love.

"Lynch" suggests that they don't deserve it.

>_>

Go play Uncharted 2, Darth, and remember I never called the snipers off you.

I finally played (and finished) the first Uncharted about 2 weeks before Uncharted 2 came out, so for me it was like playing one big long story. I loved doing it that way.

But I have to say, Uncharted 2 went way above and beyond the first one. One of the best games I have ever played.

@ darth, stop moaning about how many shots it takes to kill them, just shoot them in the head instead

Of course there was an update - trophies!

I'm really disappointed that you never got around to playing it in 2 years, despite all the fuss on here/any forum about the franchise. Poor form.

If he's complaining about the regular mercenaries in Uncharted, imagine what he'll think about the zombies! And even worse, some of the heavily armoured enemies in Uncharted 2.

Cool thread. I bought Uncharted a long time ago and never opened it until 2 weeks ago. Loved it a first and still do just having trouble finishing it now. Already bouth Uncharted 2 but am waiting to get Uncharted 1 out of the way before starting that baby.

All in all, the 1 is already a very good game though it can be improved which, from what I heard and read, is exactly what happened with number 2. What more can we ask for?

Elaine: I will never understand people

Jerry: They're the worst.

SO me & my friend bought uncharted 1 for £12, paying £6 each....we wanted to finish it before uncharted 2 came out.

I gave it to him first because of my exams, he's finished it now & gave the copy to me.

FINALLY I get to see what all the fuss is about (with carl, kantor & ofcourse MUNKEH111 getting angry at me for not buying it), in 2007 I bought Assassins Creed & R&C over uncharted 1.....I'll finally find out whether that was a MISTAKE or not!

My only fear is that after being in the BETA for Uncharted 2 the "controls" may seem "INFERIOR"/less polished

{goes to play it & expects a game inferior to MGs4!}

not going to lie i played the beta before i beat played uncharted 1 and well i did think it was inferior but i played and beat it for my entry into uncharted 2.

"Uncharted2 pwns MGS4 "
