eh, aren't Microsoft pay for the development costs?
so its not going to be PS3 nor Wii.
also i think this guy should go back to Square, he + his old team made awesome games, now his games alone aren't as good.

Standards for JRPGs haven't exactly been set high this gen. Tales of Vesperia could have set a new bar, but not many people played it.

On-topic, cool, I guess. I thought Lost Odyssey was decent, but not spectacular. I think that'll be Mistwalker's output from now on: decent, but not spectacular. Oh, and as for platform, it might be Wii, but I'd put some money on 360, just from past performance. |
I'm glad somOne noTiced!
@Pullus Pardus
I doubt Square would let him back in
but thats where he belongs, the drop in quality of his games after he left square has been astounding!
It'll probably be for 360 with the wii having an outside chance.
"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."
"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."
MistWalker developed games for the 360 based on the Deal with microsoft and the Japanese MS team that were friends with Mistwalker staff. Also, 360 was a lot easier to develop for than PS3 for them at that time, so all the conditions met.
However, Blue Dragon didn't take off, Lost Odyssey was ok and they have been relatively more successful on DS. Cry on was canceled because it wasn't feasible after the not so good success.

No chance in hell. Their best selling DS game has 120k sales which is okay, but the rest is horrible.

It is hands down the best RPG of this generation. And this generation has had its fair share of amazing RPGs: Fallout, Mass Effect, Oblivion. None of those games hold a candle to Lost Odyssey.

And none of these hold a candle to the RPGs of last gen, and none of them hold a candle to the RPGs of the PS1/PC era.
Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

that's what I said, "relatively", because a DS game has a lot less development costs and the profits or teh get even can be seen sooner than a console game.
Wii could be their choice for many reasons, while they make another HD game for probably 2010-2011
