When the J man signed up to this site , the forums were alright.......you could have meaningful conversations in some and post in some that had nothing to do with anything (all in good taste)

Now , its just a haven for flamebait threads , the J man in all his time here has never been so dishearted in looking at the blatent flamebait threads.

Does anyone feel the same way about the condition of the forums now as J man É

I'm sure they exist, but could you name some examples of some flamebait threads? It would help the mods.

I've noticed that the baiting has been a lot worst lately.

I believe the J man is correct. I only joined last december, but i've visited VGChartz since Halo 3 release, and there has been a constant downgrade in the quality of most threads.
I tend to get away from the most controversial threads and when I do enter them try to voice the most reasonable reply I can muster, but sadly, most people just do exactly the contrary.

I speak in personal experience, the most horrible threads i've seen over here are the Final Fantasy threads.
There seems to be a vocal group of FF fans in here that thinks that only it's only their opinion that counts and that only them are the true FF fans and almost insult everyone else, those kind of people really get on my nerves and disgust me. I have tried to stay away from most FF threads as of lately because of it, which saddens me, since i'm a FF fan since the NES days.

People always say this. I bet we had a thread with the same topic at the time you joined, when you thought it was better.

No its the same way as before. All forums everywhere on the internet are more or less like this.

I've noticed alot of strange things going on in internet game forms as of late. For example, I use to comment on Kotaku all the time. But over the past 3 months, the community has turned to shit. I haven't been on vgchartz long, but I stayed here because it's better than Kotaku's community as of now.

That counts for something, no?

Its not that its because the is more people. And with more people you get more varried opinions
