Looks like a good year.  Especially with some JRPGs finally coming.  I don't expect ModNation racers to sell near that much though.

Why doesn't anybody expect MNR to sell that much? I think basically all the LBP lovers will buy MNR, plus new PS3 owners, plus kart racer lovers, etc.. I think 2mil is a good estimate.

This really is just for 2010 games. I'm really looking forward to R&C:CIT though.

I think the biggest issues with people are that I have MAG sales too low and MNT too high. Remember these were just rough predictions and I could well be wrong on all counts.

MAG:I was taking the beta into consideration when I picked it's numbers. I didn't think it was very entertaining, and with KZ2, Resistance 1+2 and all the COD's on the system already, I can see plenty of gamers turning elsewhere for their FPS fun. I can definitely see it having a very hardcore community though, especially if lots of the Zipper fans pick it up.

MNT: This is really a tough one to call. From the videos shown it looks like a lot of fun and, as another poster mentioned, it will probably appeal to the same audience as LBP in the sense that it has a cartoonish style, mixed with game editing tools and a strong online component.

I'm more interested in what posters think of the release dates and the way 2010 will pan out then my sketchy sales figures.

I don't mention it being delayed. I mention Final Fantasy Versus XIII probably being delayed to 2011.

FFXIII doesn't make the list as it's not exclusive.

i think amidst rumors of insomniac working on a new ip and the billboard for resistance 3 apearing in a 2011 movie i think we will see insomniacs new ip in winter 2010 (revealed at e3) and resistance 3 in winter 2011

Ah, fair enough. I misread your FFXIII versus post.

It's clear that Sony has the best line-up next year. My concern though comes from when the 2nd half of the year starts what will Sony have for us.

The first half of the year is stellar, but I'm not sure about the 2nd.

Resistance 3 seems like a good possible release (if they fix the single player crapness). Not sure when The Last Guardian and Heavy Rain release so those could bolster the 2nd half.
