Bad list imo

/thread

You do know that different people have different opinions yes? I didn't know it was a sin to criticize assassin's creed for being a very limited experience. Just pointing this out; nen said IMO. So, I'm pretty sure that both of them realize that.

It is not always the case around here. In some cases, you are not allowed to have a negative opinion about certain games. It is also a sin to criticize those certain games. You have to justify your opinion, which people usually do. I'm about to criticize someone for hating R&CF:ToD, but I recognize that not everyone will like the game. Usually when people do something like that, they're joking. And I get away with criticizing KZ2, CoD4, and MGS4 just fine. I just don't like those games as much as some other games that people typically view as inferior.

Just to let you know.

@SmokedHostage

Yeah.. first you post stuff like "omg he is a troll because he is disappointed with nintendo games" (and propably go cry to mods about my personal opinions). No, that is perfectly reasonable behaviour. I see your point now.

I think the problem is that this is a thread about dissappointments.  It's pretty clear you don't like the Wii and its games so you can just assume you don't have much faith in those games listed so they can't really be dissappointments.

why don't you actually follow the spirit of the thread instead of doing good ol' fashioned stealth trolling and list games that did actually dissappoint you?

And, twes pretty much answered the last bit. Obviously people will disagree in threads like this. Just don't take everything too seriously.

your list had fair reasons, mine would go like this:

1) Ratchet and Clank ToD
not as fun or addicintg or even funny as the PS2 Ratchets. I guess its cuz the PS2 games were rated T and the PS3s are rated E10. You are dead to me.

2)MotorStorm
really broing IMO. No multiplayer. Really low replay vallue. You are even more dead to me.

Well, I said I was gonna pick on someone for disliking a Ratchet and Clank game. How could you do that to me?! ;_;

EDIT: dsister, you pretty much summed up my opinion on KZ2.

Hmmmm

5. The Conduit- I enjoyed the game a lot but didn't live up to the hype going around but The Grinder seems to be what the I felt Conduit was going to be.

4.Fable 2- It was an interesting fun game but man the combat was painful to watch and even worse to play...

3. Boom Blox- I can't comment on the pain this game has given to my soul

2. NG2- Just hated it on a whole...

1. Eternal Sonata- I expected an average JRPG and instead got my ears bleeding and agony gameplay and pacing...

Former something....

In no particular order:

Crysis
Assassin's Creed
Killzone 2
RE5
Fable 2

Honorable mentions: Galaxy, Resistance 2, Lair, Haze, UT3, Madworld, Halo 3, Conduit.

so far I only have 4 on my list:

5. ) Soul Calibur 4
It's a good game and especially a good looking game, but it just felt like a letdown to me

4.) GRiD
I had much fun with this title, but when I drove in harder modes it just felt bad with that rubber band AI. The most infuriating thing was, that my AI Team Mate managed to kick me off the course EVERY SINGLE TIME I raced in Les Mans ...

----------------------------I had fun with these two games, but they had flaws that killed it a bit for me -------------------------------

3.) Half-Life 2
I loved Half-Life 1, but I just couldn't get into part 2 .. the graphics were fantastic, physics cool and all that, but .. sth.. sth just seemed to be missing and although I finished it, it just completely failed to entertain me.

2.)---

1.) Oblivion
The epitome of boredom for me .. and that after I longed for this title to release for weeks *sigh*. I will never ever again let me be hyped that much for a game.

Tough for me to make a list honestly, but I'll give it a shot:

5. Fable 2 - I don't hate it, but I loved the first one. This one just hasn't grabbed me so far. I still have it, and I think I'll get through it eventually.

4. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - What an ass-ugly game! I can't believe how bad this looks, Metroid Prime looks way better than this. It's not just about graphics though, the motion controls on this game just feel so tacked-on and just pointless. I really expected perfection, because you should be able to with a Zelda game.

3. GTA4 - So much hype, such a yawner. Seriously, San Andreas is in my top 10 games of all time, and the intro scene from that game is better than 3/4 of what I experienced in GTA4.

2. Killzone 2 - I bought into the hype, paid full price for this game, and wow was it average. The character models were a resounding "OK", the color palette consisted of gray, black and more gray, and the controls were "realistic". I personally don't play games for realism, I play them to be the bassest MoFo around. Just didn't do it for me.

1. Metal Gear Solid 4 - The biggest letdown I have ever had. 4 1/2 hours of gameplay, 7 1/2 of (admittedly very good) movies. I never could get into the game, there was only about 15 mins of gameplay interrupted by 15-30 minutes of conversations with Otacon. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything, because it is fan service at it's best, but I never once thought "Oooh, that was fun!", and isn't that why we play games?

Man I love how Esa-Petteri pretends to not know what trolling is. Sometimes I kinda want to believe him.

My list would be:

1) Too many FPS games, too much brown and gray and bloom.
2) Lack of innovation or even interesting art.
3) With that said... reviewers somehow giving more perfect scores this gen than any other, especially to crap like GTA4.
4) EA milking SimCity, the Sims, and Spore to death, scaring Will Wright away from his own company.
5) Developers wasting time over-analyzing this "strange new casual market" instead of realizing that 99% of gamers are, have always been, and always will be casual gamers. They should just shut up and make a bunch of games for everybody.

i agree with assassins creed.

i would add army of two and haze to the list.

art is the excrement of culture

Great list.

If you don't mind, I'd like to borrow some for my list.

Pixel Art can be fun.

1. GTA4

2. Assassins Creed 1

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

5. Super Smash Bros Brawl - Only because I couldn't think of anything else and they took out Roy!

4. Infinite Undiscovery - Tri-Ace game that really disappointed me, it was just mess all over. I didn't care for any character in the game and only part that was good is when the main character attitude changed for like a bit

3. Gears of War Series - Over hyped and did not deliver, I still don't get why this is a 90+ game. Next time I should not preorder number 2 before I start number 1.

2. Resident Evil 5 - Did not like Chris or how this didn't feel like Resident Evil game.

1. Metal Gear Solid 4 - Crashdown77 said it perfectly, this game was more about cutscenes than gameplay and the bosses were really disappointing. Overall disappointed in the game, for heaven sakes I purchased PS3 for this.
