Failure is the noun unless you happen to be participating in a context where language has intentionally lost all of its meaning. 4chan is that kind of context. VGChartz, praise be to the powers that have wrought order out of madness, is not such a place yet, and I will do everything in my power to make sure that this place is in keeping with the rest of the world.

I love my language, you see. I like it best when people treat it well.

language is constantly evolving man. By preserving pieces of it, you're killing it. "Fail" is becoming very mainstream, and you can hear it almost everywhere now. Conjunctions were once abhorred by critics and the upper class. Even now that idea persists in resumes and journals where conjunctions are seldom used due to formal convention. You must be one of those people who spells "laser" as "LASER".

It is above the original Xbox. But anybody that thinks the PS2 was a good system is sadly mistaken

Reasons why Nintendo DOESN'T deserve first place

• Nintendo has focused almost exclusively on new gamers, young and old.  -But apparently there are enough new gamers to put them in first place, therefore by focusing on them, they deserve to have first place.
• Nintendo sells pure game machines without forcing expensive nongaming stuff on you like wiisports. -But Wii Sports is so successful and popular, that it helped them reaching first place. Anoher reason why they deserve to be on top.
• Nintendo keeps development costs at a reasonable level and makes around 100$ pure profit on every wii sold, which it uses to fund the production of more Mii games. If they would earn less profit, they would deserve a better position?
  
• Nintendo's first party games pushed hardware sales to an unprecedented rate, and then caused the first drop in YoY sales in the past 4 years. But even after this drop, it is still more appealing than any other console on the market, therefore it deserves to have first place.
• Nintendo hasn't come out with a high budget original game since the gamecube. -But their low-budget old IP is more popular than anything else, therefore it deserves more to be first than that "else" that are obviously unable to reach such height.
• "Nintendo's  official seal of quality" is now just "Nintendo official seal" -But the quality of Nintendo games is still so appealing to the majority of gamers, that it sells the most hardware, therefore it deserves to have first place.
• Nintendo has released 2 wii fits and 3 wii sports entries and barely 5 classic franchise entries, Super mario galaxy, punch out wii, zelda,  super smash brothers brawl, and metroid prime 3. -But these Fit and Sports games are more popular than the classic franchises. If they would put more focus on classics, they wouldn't deserve to be first, as only a relatively small niche is interested in such games.
• Lack of interest in multiplayer. Seriously, what gives? -Apparently, it is well fitting with the mainstream gamers' lack of interest in online multiplayer, based on the fact that it didn't stop them from being first.
• Apple form factor. By far the worst trend in electronics is the use of a white minimal design for casing. -This design is either a selling point that makes the console more popular, and therefor another reason why it should be popular, or irrelevant, as it didn't ruin the console's success.
• Of course, Nintendo isn't in the business of making the best home gaming console of all time, business is about money. Business is about making customers. Nintendo made the most customers, therefore they deserve to have the most customers and first place.

EDIT 2: the wii is a toy -And it is a very successful one, therefore it deserves to be on top of the "toy industry".
