I doubt it. Sales trends will level out especially after M$ drops the price again and releases their killer 2010 lineup. 360 is still 7.5M ahead and theres probably 2 or so years left of this generation. PS3 has ALOT of catching up to do and while its possible it will beat the 360 it is still unlikely.
but i wonder, does it really matter?

I think the PS3 is going to beat the 360 in the long run like how the SNES beat the Genesis.

Even if we were to accep last week's numbers as representative of a new baseline, with the PS3 selling ~60 000 more units per week than the Xbox 360, it's going to take nearly two and a half years for the PS3 to catch the 360.
And we have to assume that in that time Microsoft is going to sit there twiddling it's thumbs, idly watching it's market share disappear.

I hate it when people bring up that statistic...the PS3 would take 2.5 years to catch up if and only if there weren't a thing called holidays! When you take that into account, plus the boosts that software gives, that 2.5 years can be reduced by a lot!

Nonono amigo. When a store sell one xbox and give away another it`s considered a sale. The failure one is trashed.
