And I mean the real ones. Not the post 90s one leo-j was talking about.
Imagine someone growing up and not lnow these classics. O_o

Wall-E is, as I said, a positive exception. Finding Nemo is, in my opinion, one the first ones that started this formula of "the same funny talking characters, this time as toys/ants/cars/rats/fish, in a wacky adventure, with a basic one-liner moral added to it. |
You're thinking of Dreamworks, not Pixar. Mos of Pixar's movies aren't really about moralistic adventures, nor are their plots so easily relatable. You would have trouble drawing parallels between the Incredibles, Toy Story, UP, and Wall-E, for instance.
Where is the love for Ratatouille?
Fun fact: Beauty and the Beast is the only animated movie to be nominated for Best Picture.

DO I need to get into prince charming - princess/girl who needs to be saved - evil witch and/or dragon - beautiful songs Just because its cliche doesnt mean its bad |
Yes, actually that would have been my next point.
Clichés are bad. By definition, they are OVERused formulas, that make you want to smash your head to the wall, because they are that boring, and predictable.
Formulas are different. Every story must rely on tropes, formulas that the audience will recognize and understand instantly.
For example, obviously the story will have some sort of protagonist, antagonist, and character archetypes, because that's what we can relate to. The greatest stories of all time, are based on these formulas.
I didn't complain that Pixar cartoons are clichéd. They are quite the opposite, too original. All these efforts are spent on changing the setting and the actual plot, subverting the old tropes, just to be totally different from everything old for the sake of being different, while they miss the bigger picture of being in connection with thousand year old classic human interests.

In my heart?
Disney has always been, is and will always be the greatest movie company.
It keeps being as good as it used to be.

Wall-e is fine, but only because it is totally different from the general Pixar style, that I hate.
Modern animated cartoons totally lack deeper emotions, that made old Disney grand and memorable. Now there is no more romance, tension, sadness, singing, cuteness, and fear, just... silliness. And even more silliness. And some parental service.
I recently watched some old Disney movies that I missed as a child, and it is definitely not just nostalgia, because they are great, too. They actually treated their audience like adults, even if they were kids. I'm also really hyped about "The Princess and the Frog", that seems to be a traditional drawn musical, based on a classic story, with only bearable amount of silliness. |
Have you seen UP? That was one of the saddest childrens movies I have ever seen, what is sadder than death? It was everything you listed, as most Pixar movies are. The only 'bad' movie Pixar has ever made was Cars which was good in it's own right.

Old Disney wins due to Sleeping Beauty, The Black Cauldron, and Alice in Wonderland.
