^ haha i noticed that. Hence why i changed my post haha my bad XD

Long Live SHIO!

Wow... we've really set the bar pretty low on "innovation".

4 ≈ One

Eye of Judgement?

Edit: probably not hardcorish enough

Mass Effect's Conversation wheel System felt like Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit) conversation system to me..

Anyone think the same?

IP/Mass Effect copied it from Shenmue and Shenmue got it from point and click adventure games

IP got QTE's from Shenmue and Shenmue got it from Dragons Lair.

I would argue that the Wii-mote is more "hardcore" than Littlebigplanets "innovations".

And yes all of them have been done before, popularising doesn't equal innovation (even motion controls).

I'd say the most important step forward was Metroid Prime 3 and Motion controls. I don't recall a game doing a shooter quite like that (I could be wrong)

Littlebigplanet thing really annoys me, it's like they said "hardcore" gamers to immediately disqualify Nintendo and then add in a game like LBP (who may appeal to hardcore gamers, but it's artistic direction doesn't really show that, if you define hardcore as being brown, black and grey, which is what most people who use the term do).

Shenmue may have copied those two "innovations"

But the game has many innovations itself.

Wiki will explain it all.

I don't think that Shenmue is the greatest game of all time for nothing you know.

And with all due respect to my fave company of all time (Sega) its time that Sega dropped all that Yakuza bullshit and made Shenmue III, Yakuza will never be good enough to even wipe Shenmues boots, wake up Sega please.

NO NO NO! CoD's levellingn system is THE WORST PoS system EVER invented by a game designer, EVER. The sooner this shit dies off the better. Also LBP's crap has nothignt o do with this gen. Play, create, share has existed since effing 1990s with DOOM maps and stuff. The conversatoin wheel has existed since ever, in PC land we call it a radial menu. Horde mode has also existed for a long time. Even UT2004 had it, they called it Invasion. Don't get me even started on the Fable II one.....

Extremely huge fail of a list.

+ 10

As i said earlier, one of the best innovations this Gen was Gears of War active relaod, not bullshit like talk "wheels" conversations  in mass effect or user generated crap that you get from LBP.

How is portal not on the list instead of any if these?

Well anyway.. I'd say the rewind feature in FM3 may get a nod by the end of the generation with the way these 'hardcore gamers' are softening up.
