Now, I don't want that some people get me wrong, and I'll say the truth, 360 is a very good console; but when I read crap like the one above, well, I have to answer.

Sony has the margin to cut the price.  They have always had that.  They dont have the money to do so.  If the 360 cuts the price sony cannot answer back for sometime.

The difference between the two companies is whats important to them.  Of course they both want the same things.  Market share and money.  Sony however is a bit more focused on money than MS and MS is a bit more focused on market share than sony.  

Sports analogy time:  Sony just scored but the ball is now in MS court.   Will they score?  I think yes, you think sony has to good of defense and to much momentum now.  Im fine with that.  Just dont think the game is over like i did back in 07.

Well, I never said the game is over, though I believe PS3 will do better from now on.

There is a point where the whole value/package of a console(performance, hardware, the format(outdated or going MAINSTREAM), games, new features, new innovations, more contents, the ratio between this whole value and price, clearly out run the price alone.  This is the point where PS3 is, going to improve from now on!  This is my opinion, and I never said 360 is doomed, or whatever...

Who other than the manufacturers really care about this? Do you think that by being "last" stopped Nintendo to be the console powerhouse that it is today? Do you really think that Sony will simply banish if it doesn't sell more than the 360?.

I give proper credits to MS to have made a name for themselves in the console market and given us some trully great games, as a gamer, I appreciate them immensly for that.
But there are some people in here that just are way too hypocrites for their own good, especially Ronster.

Look, i'm a huge sega fan myself, my favourite 5th gen console was the Saturn because it had the best games that gen IMO and the megadrive had the most diverse games variety of the 4th gen, but the amount of hate that you show against Sony is unhealthy, let it go, Sega buried themselves in their own bad judgments, or may I remind you the Sonic X fiasco or the Panzer Dragoon Saga limited copies released fiasco? Even the dreamcast had bad judgments from Sega part.
Oh and I find it ironic that you don't seem to show the same amount of hate to nintendo, since they always wiped the floor with every Sega Console, especially in the Snes/Megadrive era, but hey, in your mind, Sony's the only at fault, so now you cling to MS to see Sony destroyed, ain't that sad.

As a gamer I find that attitude simply nauseating, because we should all have more and more choices and options which will only come if there are more companies to release the games.

Then what attracted you to the only gaming site specialized in console sales if I may ask?

I hope, someone will bump up this thread after Christmas sales somewhere in January.
It will be interesting to look at the gap, which today is around 7.4 mln. (x360 - 32.4 vs PS3 -25) so far.

Was Eyetoy successful? Yes it was moderately successful.
It will be the same for Natal. But it is NOT going to be a runaway success like the Wii.

Because of all the sites that I go to, this is the only one where at most times you can actually have a reasonable and coherent conversation with most people about video games. I like to see the sales of the consoles too, but not to the degree that it is the most important aspect about gaming, as some people here seem to be the only thing they care about.

So whats your point? Why are you cheering for no.2 (xbox 360) and not no.1 (wii)? Sales determine the "winner" right?

Who cares? No matter which one wins the difference will probably be soooo minimal that it wont warant any real 3rd party exclusives...

True. People should care about the games. Not sales. Wasn't that the reason why the playstation 2 was very successful in the first place?
