If that does turn out to be the case, i claim them as PC exclusives... Or those very rare and unknown games known as "Multiplats".

-it goes on the internet
-has BBC i player
-can have free view TV added on
-has a hard drive
-blu ray/dvd/cd/data disc player
to me it seems its not just a console at all, I'd say in a lot of ways its similar to PC
and the question that everyone is asking I'm not sure how its related, but i think the point of this thread was because the other day he was getting upset in a discussion about PC game and xbox games that are shared are not exclusive, not sure how to link it though but thats my guess

That is not where I want this thread to go. I just want to clarify the the PC is NOT a gaming console because that is a commonly used misconception. Also, the misconception is used greatly in fanboy wars, which then creates an endless cycle of fighting, and only served to divide the community.

If I was a spammer I should have a higher post count by now;) Sometimes people ask perfectly valid questions that get missed, I was just asking for clarification.
You say you want a consensus as to what a PC is but your OP is hardly inviting debate on the issue at hand but I agree, a PC is not a console.
But I can play games on my PC that are not available on my PS3

Every forum I have ever been a member on has defined spam as pointless posts that do nothing to help the topic being discussed. You may not be a spammer by nature, but you are spamming here. My OP is stating my reasoning for not believing that a PC is a console. That invited debate from those who still disagree.
MY PC is used for programing, a bit of art(i suck), RPG writing, fiction and other stuff. Then I game with it. Though I like Onyx term that a PC is a gaming platform.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

That's exactly what I thought as soon as I read the title, that thread just popped back in my head.
But I'm gonna say that just because I use my PC for gaming (and many other things), and I have "optimized" it for gaming, I like to call it my almighty console.

and the PS3 isnt a gaming console either. Its a multimedia hub, according to Sony.
