Forums - Nintendo - Reggie: Vitality Sensor to DRIVE SALES for Wii as CURRENT games get "old"

Well this "on the fence" target market is starting to lean more in the direction of "monitoring health problems"....like, for the ailing and stuff.

Ah, let's see. I'm not holding my hopes up for this, I think at the end it will be quickly forgotten like a lot of other Nintendo peripherals. But, I'm always curious in how they will put it into a game. I can always change my mind...

Lie detection, and love testing software for the vitality sensor is bound to attract TONS of new custoumers. Could be used in horror games too.

I LOVE ICELAND!

JUST IMAGINE how it can be used in a survival horror game... So many possibilities. Here's one: The music is in sync with your heartbeat. Just imagine it. Subtle yet immersive.

Translation: "Wii is DOOMED!"

@c03n3nj0: The result isn't necessarily what you'd call a game, although a couple of ideas how to implement it in a game were posted, but something along the lines of Walk With Me on DS.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

“Walmart is my biggest customer, when talking about my region which is Canada, US, and Latin America. What we see across the world is the same as the US, consumers are very hesitant to spend and when they do they are doing it thoughtfully. As a consumer product manufacturer we have to step it up and keep delivering great experiences.”

While Reggie's attitude is beginning to irk me, it's still refreshing to see a PR statement which acknowledges that consumers do in fact have brains.

I just hope for the sake of "his company" that he can convince us of the neccessity of owning a vitality sensor.

Eternal Darkness Wii. A game that tries to creep you out, that learns how to creep you out as you play the game. Thats just beautiful...freightning, but beautiful.

um..stuff

I would hope so. The Vitality Sensor is going to have to take up the yoke of the next big thing, but i do think it will go over rather well. With it, Nintendo will move beyond the trappings of "gaming" as we know it, and so capture a truly unimagined audience.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
