Of course its' Sony, that's why they make a 7/10 profit out of it.
And unlike what most people think stocking costs can be very expensive. Publishers (in this case Sony, again) pay shipment fees from and to the store, storing locals, negotating with central distributors, etc.
And there aren't many sources for this. You'll find some interviews here and there but most of these practices are confidential. You'll have to be there to see how it works. I was working for a vg publisher a few years ago, now i'm in books, and its' about the same thing, except margins are much bigger on books
