I'm forgetting some others. The reason Kotor was lucky in having any claim of having a good story is that it was the first full-fledged Console WRPG, and many console gamers never had played a WRPG before, so they were overwhelmed... and also because it was Star Wars. The thing is, the more time passed, the more evident it was that it wasn't so, and after Kotor 2 was released (with a much better story), you know the rest of the story...

There's this, demons' souls, borderlands, Mass Effect 2, Alpha Protocol, Fallout: New Vegas all coming. How can you not be excited? I just don't know which ones to be the most excited for!

I'm not stirring, and I apologize if it seemed like I was generalizing, I'm just saying that some PS3 fans think of FFXIII as a betreyal, and unfairly berate it based upon that misunderstanding.

The exact same situation exists for this game and some PC fans.

Great games with great stories.

The reason Kotor was lucky in having any claim of having a good story is that it was the first full-fledged Console WRPG, and many console gamers never had played a WRPG before, so they were overwhelmed(Reviewers played WRPGs before, and they seemed to like it. It's in the top 3 highest rated WRPGs of all time..)... and also because it was Star Wars. The thing is, the more time passed, the more evident it was that it wasn't so, and after Kotor 2 was released (with a much better story), you know the rest of the story...(The rest of the story is this game gets huge conversations about it on forums like this one, and ends up on most reviewers new, "best RPG ever" lists, and everyone forgot about KoToR2 except modders who wanted to see the parts of they story the second string developers left out of the real game)

Technically, they were second string, since Bioware opted out of the project, and they replaced them. I didn't mean they were shitty. Second string in this instance, meant they were a replacement developer.

...but yes, they are much worse developers than Bioware, I'm afraid.

Baldur's Gate 2 and KoToR saw to that.

Obsidian is good though, but their games list is FAR from the prestige of Bioware or Bethesda.
