The wii sold 163,000 units in comparison to 234,000 ps3's the same week. Now that the wii has had its $50 price cut world wide, even at bargain prices in the UK, and with Wiifit plus coming out in japan, do you guys think the wii will finally claim its #1 console spot once again? Will the wii outsell the ps3? How much will it sell? What are your predictions?

I think the second part of the OP is the "real question". There is no doubt in my mind that the Wii will outsell the PS3, by how much is what we should be determining. I will leave that for others to guess though, since I'm to lazy to do the research right now.

I think that the Wii's stellar time is going to pass soon. When its HD siblings bring into the market the new motion controllers (especially Sony's one, since it is what resembles more to the Wii model) the casual public will start to look at them.

At first it won't make a significant difference, I think, but it will impact sooner or later. Maybe the Wii catches up something at sales, but I don't think that it will last for a long time.

The bigger question is "The ps3 will outsell the Wii in the future". After the price cut the Wii will at least sell over 200k for a long, long time, while the ps3 will probably fall below 200k in 2-3 weeks (when Japan goes down to 30k ps3's sales will have fallen by 20k just there).
