The list of releases this holiday season doesn't seem that strong. This year has been ok, but hasn't stood out to me as being awesome. It looks like the value of bundles is what may make a difference this holiday season.

Modern Warfare 2 is the GTA of this gen. 14 million copies on PS360 alone.

It by itself made 2009 a mediocre year for gaming, because all other big games xcept for Assassin's Creed II chose to go for 2010 in fear of Modern Warfare 2.

RE5 is already at 2.5M.

ODST should sell around 3.5M as well.

It will destroy MW in sales, maybe double.

True that it's gonna be massive, and probably a very good game.  I also think that Uncharted 2 is going to be so good, and do so well, that sales for Uncharted 2 will really surprise, even though it wasn't pushed back to avoid MW2. 

The great online component makes me think that U2 is a worthy PS3 competitor to MW2 in terms of people wanting to buy it and play the shit out of the online because it's so robust.  (I'm not saying U2 > MW2 PS3 in sales, though).

I have no doubt that it will destroy the first week sales of MW1. However, I'm not certain on how much it will pass the original in sales for the first 8 weeks total.
