Forums - Sony - Last 12 months has been great for PS3 Exclusive Quality

Looking over Metacritics, it's easy to see the quality in PS3 exclusives has really impressed over the last 12 months.

Before Little Big Planet released, MGS4 ws the only PS3 exclusive to be above 90 on meta. Since LBP hit 95 to make it the 2nd game we have seen the likes of MLB09, KZ2 and Uncharted 2 all hit great 90+ scores for PS3 exclusives on meta. That should continue next year with titles next year coming up to. Hopefully Heavy Rain will get that honour to.

I'm impressed this year. :)

But yeah, I was seriously surprised by MLB09 and U2 scores. I thought KZ2 would have done a little better though.

Yeah, its difficult not to agree. Also games like inFamous have gotten good review scores and that looks set to continue into March next yr with GoW3 and GT5.

Metacritic is not the end of the world

I agree it's been a great year for the PS3 and that next year may be even better! In fact there are almost too many good games (exclusive and multiplat). There are now enough exclusives on the 360 (especially with Alan Wake/Splinter Cell next year) that make want to buy one but I honestly don't see where I'd get the time to play both PS3 and 360 exclusives. I expect the reverse may be true for other people too.

I think its safe to say the PS3 has had the best quality exclusives over the past year.

Should be built upon heavily next year too with games like God of War 3, Heavy Rain and Gran Turismo 5 all set to be releasing in the first 6 months. And for once, we dont have an idea of what Sony's Christmas line-up will consist of.

Until then i think there is GoW Collection and R&C Crack in Time that have a chance at AAA.
