Anyway, next week's Wii pricecut.

Wil it eat into PS3 sales, or 360 Arcade sales?

I expected 200k sales for ps3... totally surpassed my expectations.

Wii only sold 2,000 more than 360. The bubble is bursting folks.

Am I missing something? Does the ODST supposed sales boost for the x360 kick in next week or was it this week?

After all the bragging about ODST will kill the PS3 sales wise, what happened?

Maybe the x360 will see the ODST sales boost next week.

Sony is staying strong in Europe.

360 is back on top of PS3 in North America... Price cut, slim, Uncharted 2 hype, just wasn't enough.

Expect Wii to be back on top next week...

Question is how will that affect the other two consoles...?

More importantly, a Halo FPS game and a $50 cashback only boosted 360 12k for this week.

Eek.

Its getting a price-cut. PS3 did terrible the weeks before the price-cut.

Not much between the US numbers for x360 and PS3 but PS3 way ahead everywhere else.

I had thought x360 would be further ahead in it's stronghold this week.

So after 3wks (or is it 4?) PS still king of the home consoles WW by a decent margin.

Wii sales are not where they use to be in comparison to the HD consoles.

Even without a major release the wii used to kick serious ass. Maybe most waiting on price drop? Don't know.

Overall great and good for all but must say the wii isn't used to it being this close.

Anyhow as the anti-PS3 fanboys have been saying since the first week of PS3 triumph.

"Next week it will be way down .....blah...blah"

its not like a lot of people will buy a wii if they can get it for 50$ less next week

Great job by the PS3 holding it's numbers above 200K a week, it's going to be interesting to see what effect Wii has on sales to it in Japan and PAL, which are Sony's strongest areas. The 360 rebates will take a toll in NA, especially as the holiday shoppers start a bit early. I think M$ might be clearing inventory for Holiday bundles, and to counter the Wii's price cut.

ODST is unlikely to boost HW for 360.  360 is at the point in its lifecycle where only a price cut or a new title that draws in a lot of new owners should produce very noticeable bumps for the HW, particularly in US - and that is unlikely to be a sequel for franchise entry but something new.

In some ways FFXIII has more chance of boosting HW than ODST, as it is more likely there are more people without a 360 who might decide FFXIII is the tipping point for ownership - of course the same is also true for PS3 as that is not an exclusive title.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

None.

Since neither of these managed to eat into the Wii sales, obviously it won't eat into their sales either.
