Perhaps for you. Others have a better experience with the iPod for things like web browsing and social networking. Without a touchscreen, the PSP is tedious at best for entering text or selecting links. Navigation is more cumbersome as well. In addition, the iPod touch has a lot of non-gaming apps. I'm not saying the iPod touch is better for everyone, but it does have advantages in certain areas.

Iphones are TOO Overpriced. I have to sign a 3 year contract just to get it at an affordable price? You gotta be shitting me and if I want it unlocked I have to pay $600 for a 3G and close to $1000 for a 3Gs? Nah Min Nah for a grand I can get a PSPGo, A Sony Ericsson Satio Unlocked and Uncharted 2 and Persona PSP

xperia its slow and it crash (windows mobile) only have a 3.2mpx camera.

maemo its fast and responsive =). and it have a full 4 desktops not panels.

panels are small apps.

 u can many apps in all desktops and the device 256mb swap ram and get to 1gb.

its not a three year contract, in fact I just renew mine by a year to get one for the bargain price. Getting one unlocked is very expensive but thats because it only contracted out to att. once that contract runs out the price will drop. I don't find the Iphone anymore expensive than any other phones I had. really its a better deal IMHO.

Nintendo is killing them in both the console and handheld race and they are last place in both markets as well.....where the hell do they have the audacity to say that "The gaming heritage and the home of gaming is PlayStation"?

There was gaming before playstation and there will be gaming after playstation....and also if your in last place you have no say....

For most people, gaming is a nice to have extra, not the focus of their device. It's far more important that the device is able to get flight info, find the nearest restaurant, or be able to send a text message. They will never have the desire to play an RPG or FPS game, in fact many people hate that stuff.

I bet if you took random people off the street and asked them if they would rather play FF or Scrabble, most people would ask what is FF? then say yeah I love Scrabble.

Agreed. I prefer my Iphone because it can do all that stuff. However it would be very simple for sony to implement these things into a device and have a very good gaming platform. I can't wait for that day...

Grimes no one is saying Iphone product is not a great phone filled with a lot of features may it be overpriced, what we are saying is that they are no threat gaming wise when it comes to Sony PSP and Nintendo DS. We are not talking about the other features of an Iphone we are strictly sticking with the gaming department and others who are talking about other features really shouldn't be, both Apple and Sony are in the wrong in their collective statements. 

Also while I am still on topic for once this statement "But worst is the buying experience. Having to go to the store and trying to find a hot new title is not a lot of fun." has to be the worst statement ever,

1. In this day in age not only can you order practically anything to anywhere via amazon or other retail sites.
2. Sony is offering a product that is pretty much the same as Iphone whatever store.
3. The buyer experience is up to the buyer, and personally I never felt going out of my way to actually go into a store was the worse thing. Hell if it wasn't for me actually looking for a title, I would never been introduced to Metal Gear Solid.
