I played Halo 1 on the Mac and never really bothered to do multi-player because I "just liked campaign play". Then a friend talked me into going to a Halo 2 party and I found out just what a blast Halo multi-player is. Pure genius. Now I go to Halo parties whenever I can. Online play is fun, but seeing the guys in the next room come in laughing and red-faced after a particularly great match just can't be beat in my opinion.

Anyone who plays Shenmue instantly gets my respect............. Its the greatest game of ALL TIME.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (In my opinion)

Have you played the origional on Dreamcast? thats the best place to start but if not Shenmue II on XBOX does fill you in breifly with the highlights of Shenmue I

As for Jet Set Radio Future on XBOX, its easily in the top 10 games on the origional xbox, tonnes of fun and great trippy soundtrack.

Oh I know. I played shenmue 1 on the dream cast, I loved it. Its sad that games have come so far away from what they were. But honestly, Halo 3 is in a class of its own. There really is just something special about what Bungie did here.I'm going to buy the first two and odst next weekend. I just wish the chief wouldn't talk haha.

What are some good XBLA titles? I dont want stuff like castle crashers, but I might get some games like ikagura ;)

Well, if you like FPS games i reccomend the Awesome Duke Nukem 3D (800 MS points), The excellent Doom (only 400 points) and the Great Wolfenstein 3D (also 400).

Ikaruga is a must have, I would also get Rez HD (It truly is a unique experience)

Just download the demos.............. Every arcade game ever released for xbox live arcade has a demo for it  (except for Double Dragon, its no longer available to buy )

Good to see a new fan. If you want Ikagura maybe R-Type Dimensions will interest you. Castlevania Symphony of the Night is a must own. You can't go wrong with it.

Anyway, +1 respect for being willing to try the game to form your own opinion instead of just automatically dismissing it because it's Halo.

As for XBLA, every game has a demo like Ronster pointed out so you can try before you buy.  I personally recommend Braid, Splosion Man, Shadow Complex, Geometry Wars 2, Portal: Still Alive (if you haven't already played it elsewhere), and I know you said you're not interested in Castle Crashers, but you should try the demo coop with some friends.  Ir really is loads of fun/
