Vote to Localize — SEGA and Konami Polls

I think people are expecting forza to do gangbusters are a tad optimistic. Sure no gt5 to be crushed by, but not many people know of forza.

I think the PS3 will be at 32 milion units sold by the end of this year. So i'de say the gap will have narrowed to 5 or maybe even 4 million units.

I believe it will most likely be at 6 million, still 5 million is very possible


If microsoft doesn't want to loose that gap they better have something ready by November's black friday

Many people here are way too optimistic about PS3s sales. To close the gap to 5 million with the Xbox 360 it needs to outsell it at a weekly average of 170k units for the remainder of the year, which seems next to impossible.

PS3 will probably outsell Xbox 360 by less than 50k next week and I can't see it increase the gap again by any significant amount until the real holiday starts. By then it will probably need to outsell it by double that amount if not more to get the gap down to 5 million at the end of the year. All in all this seems highly unlikely to me.

Question;

If ODST has done very little for 360 HW, what will 2 more sequells do, one being a multiplat? Priceless!

Oh, wait... that's right, Japan's not very important at all. Not even tho they are recieving the exclusive FF13, FF13 bundle and FF13 limited edition PS3 slim. U and seinor must be great mates, no? lol

Agreed. Although, it might be closer to 5.5 mil.

It is not silly to think that the PS3 will catch back up to it's original gap with the 360 come end of year. Strong advertising, strong product, low price, great SW are what SONY has for the next 3 months. They are on fire as we are seeing now. Funny how it is reversed on last year.

I have said it before and I will say it again. For years GT games and FF games have been the PS3 flagship titles. People have bought PS3s expecting those games. With the PS3 sales in Japan over 4 million when FF13 releases the bump will be minimized. When GT5 releases next spring it will have 2 things minimizing the bump. Over 30 million PS3s already sold and over 3 million copies of GT5P sold. Pretty safe to say that the majority of the GT5P purchasers will be GT5 purchasers and they wont be purchasing a new PS3 to play it.

Or am I wrong PS3 purchasers will purchase a new PS3 for FF13 and GT5. I think not.

I also believe people are not realizing the strenght of the VERY CHEAP MW2 / FM3 bundle for the 360

The fight will be close between the HD twins ...

and without GT5 ....
