After seeing that new trailer, I doubt the japanese market could pass ffxiii up. So i don't see MH selling more

Actually you are right.. Mario is gigantic in japan, just not nearly as big as the other countries, I was just thinking of Mario galaxy which sold a million copies in japan, not other games.

Galaxy is 3D Mario, New Super Mario Bros. Wii is 2D Mario. They sell more than 3D ones. And I doubt XIII will do VII, VIII or X kind of sales.

Even i'm a MH fan, i don't think it will sold more than FF XIII.

both games have different gameplay, MH take time to best your skills.Which made many ppl stop play it too.It isn't a game for everyone.(But if you love it,there's no way you could stop playing it.)

FF XIII will be easier to learn and play, and with higher reputation across all age gamers made this game bigger than MH.


It'll be better to compare FFXIII with DQX ,and MH with Phantasy Star Online.

Agree! I'm pretty positive that FFXIII first week sale will be more than MH3's entire life-to-date sales upto XIII's release.

The wait and hype for FFXIII has been so long and high ... will be hard to beat in Japan I guess.
