MH3 doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of outselling FFXIII in Japan.  What makes you think MH3 which has been out as long as it has and still isn't over 1 million will outsell a game that on average sells 2.5-3 million copies in Japan?

No, but people here are totally overreacting. MH3 won't reach a million in japan? Guess what, it already did! Capcom shipped over a million units in the first week. So 1 million is only a matter of time.

I can see MH3 reach 1.10M - 1.15M in Japan, FFXIII probably 1.4M - 1.5M

Note how, even on PS1 and PS2, FF sales are decreasing. Obviously, if FFXIII sells 2.5 - 3 million copies, MH3 won't be close. But I don't see that happening (and neither do the guys at Famitsu, who know a lot more about the Japanese game industry than we do.)

It wont outsell it, but since its pay to play it may well make more money overall though.

Sales apparently up 50% for next week according the Japan preview, and this is the week BEFORE the price cut. Anyone feeling nervous?? :P

Mario isn't HUGE in japan, so stop saying it will outsell FF XIII..

New Super Mario Bros. sold 5.70m. And thats 1.5m+ more than DQ IX, which is a main DQ title. And those already sell more than FF (in Japan).

OT: I think LTD of MH tri and first week of FFXIII will have similar numbers, but no way both LTD.
