CD/GD

DVD didn't exist back then until PS2 cameout and Dreamcast went into pirating hell and sold terribly.

they announced DVD expansion but it was too late and they discontinued it.

and dear lord if this is true then fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck this actually justifies a $400 dollar purchase in my eyes (keeping in mind i cant currently justify a $300 PS3 without PS2 BC). So as long as the games are either downloadable through PSN or simply bootable through the PS3....
