For me, the Wii has been the worst in terms of value. I loved Zelda and Metroid Prime 3, but in total, I've probably spent less time playing the all the games I have on the Wii then the time I've spent playing just Oblivion (or Pro Evo 2008, or Fallout 3 for that matter). And when it comes to old games, it not like the Wii has FFVII, MGS or any of the PS1 classics, not to mention the fact that I can play nearly all the old games on my PC (or my 4-yr old laptop for that matter).

I think for traditional games the Wii really isn't good value. My cousin (not a hardcore gamer) bought a Wii and sold it after a few months because he hated playing football games on it. If you want newer motion control based games then the Wii is very good value, but otherwise, the other consoles at there current price point are much better value.

#1 You could've played Zelda on the Gamecube when the Wii came out (Why people were calling Twilight Princess a killer app launch title for the Wii still perplexes me).

#2 Both the PS3 and 360 have downloadable full, old games. From Crash Bandicoot to Halo, I have options amongst the 2 platforms

#3 This has be a joke thread. Blu-ray, WiFi, free online, PSP connectivity, etc...don't ever say the Wii has more "bang for the buck", and that's just the PS3 I'm referring to

Another Thing That Gives You An Insane Amount More Value Is That Fact Of You Can Download All The Old Metroids, Marios And Zeldas. On No Other System Can You Download Games That Take Up At Least Half Of The Top Ten Best Games Of All Times Lists. I Assure You That All These Lists Contain: Super Metroid, A Link To The Past, Mario World, Mario 64, Mario Bros, Mario 3, and Ocarina Of Time. Games That Can Only Be Found On Wii.

i'm still waiting for this proof you spoke of.   i have a wii, and i only play it when my 3 yr old wants to bowl.  i can't fathom why an adult would ever play on it.  mario games?  if you are an adult and you play anything with mario in it....i hope you bought it with your state disability.

OP is happy with his Wii, that really proves nothing in the way of objective value. I loved my first car, an old Saab, to death but I realize it might not have been the best value for money.

It not value its preferences. I can say a load of better things about the PS3 and Xbox 360 right now but you will not understand it anyway because you think you are always right.

You Mean You Can Say That Ps3 Can Download Movies, Play Music, And Has Great Online Play? I Have Both A Ps3 And 360. If You Were Paying Attention Any, You Would Know That.

Don't know if this is a joke thread or not.

Either way, seems people like to spin their arguments. Value this value that. My system can do this, my system can do that.

Last I checked, each system has value determined by the individual.
Heres the a dictionary definition: "relative worth, merit, or importance"

So with that said, the Wii has more value to the OP than the PS3 or XBOX360.

For me all my machines have different value, but I like them all evenly. For me, enough said.

I'm a videogamer, not a fanboy, but have a special place for Nintendo.

Previous Game Consoles:  PS3/Xbox360/Wii/DSL/Pretty much every one thats been released since the Atari 2600.

Wow, I Dont Even Know What To Say About That. Sounds To Me Like You Have Little Man's Syndrome.

I Would Understand If You Said Adults Probably Shouldn't Be Playing Care Bear Games, Or Barbie Games, Or Something Like That. But Mario? Come On, Man, Mario Is For Everybody. He Pretty Much Started This Industry, And For You To Say Its For Babies Makes Me Think That You Are Just Insecure.

Once again someone has to point out that games are subjective for the simple reason that we all have different tastes...this is a moot point.

Value is derived from how much the console can do in comparison to how much it cost, with this respect the PS3 is king with the 360 closely behind, while the wii is a distant 3rd. PS360 are giving you so much more for only 50 bucks more. DVD/Blu ray playback, internet search, DIVX format playback, superior online play, connection to PSP. Netfix...
