- PS3: the price cut and new 40 GB model increased sales from 31.5k to 77.8k (a 146% increase). It should be noted that those measures were not in effect during the whole week, depending on the countries we're looking at 4 or 5 days of data with them. Assuming sales didn't change from last week in the first ~2.5 days, we'd be looking at approximately 103k of sales if the price cut was in effect during the whole week.

- 360: the drop from Halo 3 continues, 25% drop this week and more or less at pre-halo 3 levels now

- Wii: a slight (17%) increase from last week (which saw lower sales than normal for the Wii in these territories).

 Don't forget the megaton called two price cuts on sony's best market to win by 2k on the whole week... while the xbox at least had a 10k+ advantage.

looks like the price cut was a god way to give the sales a spurt but it wont last i see it lasting a few weeks then droping back to the stagnet level before

My estimate of 5million(yes it was easy) stands...now up to the 8 million by end of the year.
10 million by February/march.

Now that they are really building a momentum, I think it is hard to stop them now..the games started pouring bit by bit, but they are AAA games. FIFA/PES, Uncharted!!!!!!!!, KZ2..eumm whenever it comes out, and a lot of games until December. The Sony mechanics start to reveal what plans they have devised and it starts to work. The union of their powers is nearby and the zenith in increasing their market share has begun.

I think that next week is far more interesting. Advertising begins and it is first whole week with new price.

FYI, when Sony says 11 million shipped, they mean 11 million shipped for the fiscal year, not lifetime to date.

In other words, 11 million shipped from April 1, 2007 - March 31, 2008. They only shipped .71 million in the first quarter.
