I own both games but I have never played R2 online. I do like the single player of R2, I was just so hyped for Killzone 2 that it's all I had been playing since launch. Maybe I am missing out on something not playing R2 online?

No way in hell, KZ2 has more maps, that alone makes it better for me.. they are both amazingly good though

For me Resistance 2 was better in every way than Killzone 2 (except graphics)
I find the Resistance series storyline amazing, the large amount of diverse characters in the game is a plus, Co-OP online was fun, overall I think the Resistance series is better, however, i still enjoyed KZ2 and will buy the 3rd one
1) KZ2 doesn't need a party system. You can join a friend or clan member at any time.
2) The feel of KZ2 Controls actually match the appearance. The Equipment and Padding in KZ2 actually works, [reason why if you're just aiming at the stomach or legs, it's gonna take a few bullets with a assault rifle or submachine gun. But Certain guns are really powerful, so position of the shots don't matter].
3) R2 is more tactical????? More guns don't mean more tactical... R2 is just a reflex shooter. KZ2 squads, class combinations, and limited weapens depending on class, force you to use more tactical approaches. Especially in clan battles.
4) You're problem is that you play to level up.... Try getting trophies and working with a clan...
5) Most people on my Friends List who've had both, SOLD R2 or just don't play it. They've also kept KZ2. This point means NOTHING. People are different.
6) KZ2 Sniper rifle is better than R2's. And it actually acts as a proper rifle due to sixaxis support. Keep your hands steady and you'll have steady aim. Shaky hands, shaky aim. Try aiming near a fight with rumbling controller, that alone will shake the controller forcing you to get used to your current situation. LIKE A REAL WAR.
7) An a real war, you would want a handgun at all time.
8) Search and destroy on ANY online shooter turns into a real mess. KZ2 just uses so many war like affects with screen vibrations and explosions it just feels messier... AS IT SHOULD. This is why you play with Friendly Fire on, like real men do. Also playing clan games and removing assault class helps alot.
9) I don't see the big deal here??? If you're in a 32 Player game, the only way other people are gonna join is if others leave. It's unfair for teams to regain numbers after people drop out so that games can be even? Perhaps you should lower the overall number of players to 16 and just have a smaller 8v8. You also can't blame the game if you yourself join a 16v16 match.
10) This varies from player to player, but for a serious match, I'd rather not share a screen. Perhaps for local multiplayer, but hardly for online. But hey, I can see why someone would be disappointed by this.

| deathgod33 said: what i hate about killzone 2 is that you can't carry more than 1 weapon (beside your pistol) and when you kill someone there isn't a +5 or something like in Resistance or COD. i like R2 more mostly because of what i said above and that you can play with a friend online (on the same console) together. |
There's a confirmation sound. Once you hear it you know you have points. Just look in the upper right corner and you'll see a green +(insert whatever number here) Next to your current overall points and your number [how well you're doing compared to everyone else on the team]. I prefer it this way. Since KZ2 is a more tactical shooter, you don't want anything on your screen [excluding the corners of course] online than you're enemies, your allies, and the stage itself.

What I cant stand in Resistance 2 is the fact the I can look across the map and tell where every enemy is just by looking for the red triangle above everyone's heads. I also hate the spawn points where you spawn right in the middle of a fire fight. KZ2 is far better in my opinion although not without its own issues (mainly noobs with RPGS)
I love Resistance 2's coop. Its so much fun. I rarely ever played competitive but the Coop kept me satisfied. I wish Killzone 2 had a coop like it, it would have been phenomenal.

Resistance 2's story wasn't great compared to 1. Same with Killzone 2, Killzone 1 had a better story, and I also liked the variety of environments in the first game.
Resistance 2's Co-op is cool, very good fun. Competitive is fun here and then, but I wish level progression would be a little quicker. I also think there could be some more game modes.
Killzone 2 lacking co-op is a little disappointing, but that's the developer's decision. The online is really fun, but it needs more variety in perks and weapons. Also, the RPG noobs are super annoying. One thing I think they could've done is add vehicles/aircrafts, and leave the RPGs exclusive to those maps, and have a capture the enemy flag kind of mode for those maps. At the same time, they could power up the Grenade launchers to balance the loss of RPGs from the maps without vehicles.
What do you guys think?
Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!
The online multiplayer I've played this gen on PS3:
CoD4 = Uncharted 2 > KZ2 > Resistance 2 (only because of co-op) > Unreal Tournament III > Bad Company >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GRAW2.
