It was probably not particularly helpful to call someone else out for posting under a pseudonym while himself posting anonymously on some else's account.
I can think of several more effective ways of correcting any misapprehensions, and few less effective.
While I appreciate your point of view, ioi, this wasn't very edifying.

I am curious what "better" options he had, when the fascist membership policies on GAF would make it impossible for him to ever get an account there and engage in a civil, open handed account. Or perhaps, he should have just did nothing while he was being attacked?
I do agree that this matter should be put to rest as nothing good can come of it. However, other than not responding, please illustrate a better option.

Given that it was probably necessary to post on a suicide account, it would have been simplicity itself to - introduce himself, suggest rather than assume (if necessary) the identity of the other poster, lay out the facts but lay off the banter, invite constructive criticism rather than coming across bumptious and self-righteous. Basic internet politeness really. The account would probably have been banned for being used by someone other than the owner, but it would limit the options for response to the factual or the blatantly personal. And he would have come across as a reasonable guy and maybe some GAFfers would start to warm to him. As it is - way to make enemies.
Alternatively, could have asked someone else to furnish factual corrections on his behalf - I would have volunteered to do that provided I could confirm the facts, but by the time I got to this thread the damage had been done. (And given this little fracas I probably won't volunteer to do so in the future).

Well, I can't argue much with your suggestions on the wording of the message, but the message itself was valid. The progressions of both threads indicates that the animosity between both sides is greater than this thread will hope to solve - irrespective of wording.
I do find it somewhat spurious that ioi had to go to those lengths just to get IN to the forums to fire back. I certainly haven't seen pro-GAF supporters being targeted here - although I admit, I don't really pay much attention to this dispute.
Finally, to his credit, ioi did admit who he was. At least he didn't try to cloud the issue with that ambiguity. I wonder how long the account would have stayed viable if he hadn't admitted his identity or been discovered.
