proper house as in ... chicago 1987, 88, 89? I used to frequent the Hacienda in manchester and was into all of that big time back then.

Yes House music was originated in Chicago. And its still big in UK.

This year like David Guetta - When Love Takes Over, David Guetta - Sexy Bitch (Lots of Urban music influence) were chart toppers in UK/EU

cool

I love the song

First all, saying all hip hop and rap are bad is just bull***t. Mostly modern rap (actually 90%) is suckish and most other music genres (rock, especially country & pop) are not that great and I like many music genres if they got a nice beat (I'm more of a beat specialist than lyrics).
Plus, that whole "the white man keeping us down" thing, it's not like the white man was deserving anyway. Also, if I say all rock music is about "whiny depressing emo f**ks" or country music is about "southern fried rednecks singing about whatever", I'd be attack in less than a minute.

The clash are fucking awesome

I agree, rap needs to die. It's letting untalented people who don't deserve it make millions of dollars.

I just hate what's its became to be.

I used to think I hated rap, but it turns out that, like most other genres of music, I just hate the mainstream junk. Plenty of good rap music to be had if you dig deep enough.

Tupac was an activist in feminism and classism.

1. Keep Ya Head Up - a song about the rough life the average young black woman/girl goes through in terms of her place in relation not to just society in general, but also how they are treated by other black men who can make black women feel very bad and uncomfortable.

2. Dear Mama - a song in praise of his mother who raised him and his brother alone; even though he and his brother hung out with the gangs, got into trouble, and she had made a lot of mistakes in her life previously which got her a crack addiction. She stuck through to the end for him.

3. Brenda's Got a Baby - his 91 breakout single where he describes a 12 year old girl who through abuse from her family, got pregnant, went out on her own to try and support her child, was robbed, turned to prostitution, and was eventually murdered.

4. Changes - A song about poverty and the necessity to bend the law to get through life. Not an advocate for crime whatsoever, but an explanation:
Thug: "I made a G today"
Tupac "But you made it in the sleazy way"
Thug: "I gotta get pay"
Tupac: "That's the way it is"

5. Ghetto Gospel - Another song about poverty and the need to make some changes in society. "It ain't about black or white because we're human"

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Since everybody else is lobbing videos, let me do a little digging for you:

The last 2 minutes of this song are amazing.
