Im talking about the stuff coming up on the glass, like the hologram stuff.
The rest looks meh, and the pad itself looks like crud.

The Wii actually looks like a gaming system. This thing looks like something you stick on the wall that lets off soothing aromas. The 720 looks like one of those automated vacuum's that clean the floor themselves.

& the optional "on console" interface is a MUST WANT!

6th gen's were boxes.
7th Gen's were home office equipment, with some grillz.

So what is the rule for something to look like a gaming system?
The wii changed the way we play games (apparently)
Maybe a future console will change the way the console is designed

Well I don't want people to know about that.
Anyway, I just don't think that is a very feasible design choice. You have a right to your opinion, but my opinion doesn't agree with yours. If they can make this work (very low failure rates and you know fuctionally works) then more power to them.
Something like this would cost both Sony and the consumer WAY to much money.
