@EncodedNybble

Yup, 100% sure. I even looked at youtube to see how others did it and it's the same. I didn't even get the interactive trophy even after watching the intro twice (2 different game saves). I read it was glitchy for a lot of people but i couldn't find a solution to it. I don't want to spend another 20 minutes for the 3rd time only to find out it doesn't work again. Anyone know of a solution???

@kyliedog

Might want to spoiler tag that bit and really? They didn't make that consistent, that's pretty lame. But did you do that in the same playthrough or did you go back and do a chapter select? If you did a chapter select, stuff after the chapter might not be consistent any more.

I didn't know about it :)

One really annoying bug is that everytime after I play the DLC Chronicle chapter I need re-install the main game.

What the hell is with that?

Also I find there are many inconsistancies with thigns I make happen and events happening later, lots of small ones though the most messed up one is the I refuse to chop off Ethans finger just for two scenes later his finger to magically vanish and be bandaged over.

wtf? I didn't think this was even out yet. My code won't work!

PS3 Trophies

I started it last night and I like it. I thought the part I hated the most would be the QTE's but it's actually the general controls I hate the most.

The QTE's are QTE's and I can't fault the game for me not liking/being bad at them. For QTE's they're pretty well done and the way they did the difficulty was pretty smart actually. The only QTE's parts I hate are the ones you have to tap the button. Those come up and I always just press the button, wait for the next prompt, and then realize I was supposed to be tapping the button.

Now the part I hate most is the movement. I don't know how they fucked up that badly but it's like it's 1998 and we're still figuring out how to move in a 3D world. Seriously, these are the worst movement controls I've experienced this decade.

The graphics look good, though mouths are a little funny. Other than that, some characters look a little off while others look fantastic (I think the convenience store clerk looks the best so far actually). The game has a definite atmosphere to it and I'm really digging it. The voice acting with Europeans trying to sound American is just laughably bad.

The story itself is what is making me suffer through the QTE's. If I wasn't so interested in what's going on with the characters and what happened to the one dudes kid I would have quit the game within the first hour but I have to know what's happening next. They did an excellent job at making invested in the story and I'm only a few hours in.

i did it, i managed to finish heavy rain without getting spoilered!

..except by myself, i was sooooo sure i had picked the real killer for most of the game, but i was wrong

it was just awesome, and now i need to try all the other possible outcomes!

oh, and the taxidermist is just great! It's not just a tacked on dlc, its almost like a whole own game with just as much replay value! its the thing to let your friends play to get them excited (or envious) about heavy rain!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Congrats

Thank you

i was abslutely convinced the Killer was Ethan's Shrink, he could have set him up with the origami figure and even caused his blackouts with medication.

I think i should contact David Cage, maybe he is interested of turning my Novel into a Game.

...by the way, has anyone figured out if the Numbers on the Origami-Bird mean anything, a redeem code maybe?

Wow, Wow, WoW! 'The Taxidermist' play-through is at the top of the entire HEAVY RAIN experience for me. If you have a voucher from GameStop/Amazon etc..., download it NOW!

That's funny, nobody has even talked about this scene yet, talk about HEAVY RAIN sprinkled in survival-horror!

How long does it take to play through the scene? I loved the game but am on the fence as to whether I will buy any of the DLC packs at the minute.

@CGI

Ok, thanks. Will probably give this one a try then especially if as you say, it adds a slightly different style of play.

I download the t-dermist yesterday but was too busy playing main game to get to it. I'll get to it today or tomorrow :)
