GTA4 could have reached 8-10 million if it were exclusive but it's not. People would have bought a PS3 to play that game. Also, don't forget that the PS3's userbase wasn't too strong back then.

How much competition did it really have? It was also heavily hyped and advertised. Also it was relaesed at a time that basicaly had no releases at all, infact the only game that Microsoft released at that time was Ninja Gaiden II.

Let me explain my first sentence. I mean how many stealth games were on the PS3

How many games are like Gran Turismo on PS3, and I don't mean racers I mean sims.

And again, it isn't that clear cut, look at how many shooters the 360 had before the launch of Halo. Did they stop Halo 3 from selling it's HIGHEST #s in the franchise's record?

There are a few. Grid, Shift, Ferrari Challenge, and of course Prologue. How may of the first three were released before Prologue?

And you and I both know that no random shooter is going to mess with the beast that is Halo

On a side note: I think it should be known that I do not agree with what Atma and Dolemit3 are saying just adding my two cents

GRID and Shift don't play like Gran Turismo, in fact, in IGN's review they themselves say Shift isn't as accurate as GT or Forza.

And you should know this, no "random racer" is going to mess with the beast that is Gran Turismo, hence why none of those games held back sales of the "glorified demo".

However, since you and dolemit debate reasonably, I don't want to come of as offensive to you guys.

Really? I thought Grid played like Forza. Though I have not played a Turismo since 2.

And like I (meant) to say before. How can games that come out after prologue harm its sales?

Oh trust me, I'm not under the illusion I can actually affect any change on these boards. I was just making a statement about how pointless it all seemed. Not that I think all VGC users are like this, I'm sure there are alot of reasonable ones as well, but unfortunately, you also get people like Atma on these boards as well that don't know when to shut up and admit when they're wrong.

Let me explain you something quite simple :

The Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess (GC) are copies that could'nt be sold on the Wii so it's just natural to add them to the Wii version. In other words people who bought TP on GC won't buy TP on the Wii. People who bought GT5:P WILL probably buy GT5. That's the difference.
