With arrival of the PS3 slim, retailers have been changing/getting new covers for the PS3 games. But, the exact same thing has been done for the Platinum games. You can really tell the difference of the case between the greatest hits or just a normal case. The platinum ones have yellow on it…yes yellow. I don’t know where Sony came up with the color of the cover but oh well…it seems to get peoples attention i guess that all that matters. The only thing different with the new boxes is the new PS3 logo that the slim has on it, so really there is only the top part (that we know of) of the case that has changed.

Recently Midnight Club LA and the Complete Edition became platinum hits and feature this new case design. The Complete Edition is suppose to come with all the DLC so that everyone who gets it will have everything and won’t have to worry about emptying the wallet, the bandwidth and the time consuming process of the DLC.

I guess how much you like the cases is influenced by how much you like yellow.

God, why are the platinum covers so ugly? I cry everytime I look at myUncharted (I have Heavenly Sword Platinum as well, but I don't like the game...).

They still have that god awful yellow, so no.

i still havent seen any cover changes here in the UK. and the day they get rid of those horrable yellow covers will be a gd day! i wont by a platnum il just search around for te original at te same price

They're imprinted with the old logo. We'll see what they do.

I hope they scrap them completely. I buy used to avoid the red XD
