Coming from the latest interview between gametrailers and Naughty dog (the one seens as maxing out the ps3), the developer describes Uncharted 2 as almost a generation ahead of the original game in graphics alone:

it's pretty its actually one of the prettiest console games.

She said "it feels like almost a generational leap" over Uncharted 1.  Or something very close.  It wasn't such a hard and fast claim.  She did say they had the Cell's SPUs firing on all cylinders much of the time.  I bet stuff like that can always be further optimized, however.
