60% of the top 20 for 47% of the hardware marketshare seems pretty good to me.

I mean, the Nintendo fan in my heart would like to see more, but my brain reminds me that it isn't too fond of monopolies.

Edit: Bah, I was interpreting DS games as Wii games because of the bold.

It's still 7 Wii games to 6 HD console games, which is still favourable with 47% of the install base.

Considering that all the TOP 20 games that aren't of Nintendo systems are new releases, we can see that the BIG reason of the Wii drops are the lack of consistents and important releases. That's a shame, of Nintendo and 3rds.

EDIT: NCAA Football (X360) wasn't a new release.

I maintain that Metroid Prime Trilogy was never supposed to be big. Dunno why you all are so disappointed.

You're right. The lousy distribution that the game has recieved demonstrates that. It's very uncharacteristic of a Nintendo game. Nintendo can push a game onto retailers if they want to, and they chose not to with MPT.

Metroid Prime Trilogy is a gift to the fans and a way to maintain the excitement of the franchise for next year's Other M.
