Forums - General Discussion - Where were you on 9/11?

i was off school sick, so as soon as the report came in my mum turned the tv back on (she'd turned it off cos my bro and sis were fighting over it) and it was so so horrible watching that 2nd plane hit, then the towers fall.. because in this day and age most things are pre-recorded, i found it really difficult to accept that what i was watching live was hundreds of people dying. the images, and how i felt at the time, are still clear as anything. i was 12.

Well, I was a little late to school and as I was getting out of the car, my Mom said "Terrorists have just hit the Twin Towers!" as she heard the alert over the radio.

I had never heard of the Twin Towers before, and wasn't really sure on how to take it. It kinda set in a few hours earlier once I learned the severity of all.

@ Mr. Bubbles

You're disgusting.

I was at home watching CNN. It was so exciting.

I remember so well when initially they thought it was just an accident with a small private aeroplane, like a Cessna or something.

Just about to go to college when I saw the news!!

Yeah, I had a football game today- we were hosting our cross county rivals. We had a 50-by-30 foot flag and we honored our EMT, firefighters, policemen (and women), and national guard and whoever else there was.
They did a presentation, had both the schools band playing the national anthem, and it was quite well setup.
Sadly we lost the game (0-26), but the first quarter was scoreless.
