But you can't tell that now. Most certainly GT5 would help the cause but it isn't confirmed yet. I think eventually I'm going to have to come out and say my 9-10 milllion PS3 FY10 shipment prediction will be too low but I can't base that change off first week of sales. The potentialy is there for Sony and everything is setup right to have a strong holiday season. But if you know anything off of sales trends... sometimes it's just not enough. My biggest thing I have facing Sony right now is brand. They've taken quite a bit of time in America and now Europe of having Wii and 360 be dominant brands over them. That is going to be pretty hard to overcome when it comes to those holiday season buyers. If anything were to stop them especially if GT5 comes out... that would be it. |
look I remember that after the release of MGS4 the sales were going in favor of PS3.
it was selling more than X360 because of a game, the way that MS reverted this was with a price cut.
I think a very very strong game can do these kind of things like MGS4 did, and even forced MS to make a price cut, even though the PS3 was way more expensive than da 360 at the time.
GT5 is the next big game. and FF13 for japan. they're >>>>>>console movers like god of war 3 for example.
and let's see if with the release of the god of war collection this year god of war 3 receives more hype!!

Now I will play along and state that if GT5 were able to release this year, that would give PS3 its big holiday exclusive it has been lacking in Europe and America. But once again we don't have a solid confirmation yet. I do think PS3 would have a bigger holiday if that does fall through. That is definitely something that would give PS3 and edge over 360 as it is questionable that Forza 3 would be able to compete. |

But that was "okay" as I'm a PS3 fan, so saying I am "disappointed" in a PS3 exclusives sales probably wasn't deemd "trolling"

I was calculating this out and lmao last night. What took the 360 9 months to do may be undone by the PS3 in 3-4 weeks!

At your first point, provide a link because as far as anyone knows there have been no confirmations.
As for the highlighted portion, I don't usually say this but if you get enjoyment out of watching a console get out sold then you are a very sad individual and I feel sorry for you.

Funny how gap numbers can change so quickly.
Oh, lets not forget that in September 2008, 360 closed the same gap from 8 months of being outsold by the PS3 in 3 weeks. Ironic how things flip and flop back and forth (oh, and I am sure it will happen again in 360's favor). It will be interesting to see how the holidays pan out.
