Looking at it that way it makes more sense but I still think some people are predicting things way too early, noone knows how the slim will keep selling for the next few weeks and months, something like this (slim release) has never been done at this stage of a generation before, hard to know what to expect from all three console makers...

You know Kowenicki was willing to bet that the 360 would outsell the slim in UK and NA. Someone should ask him now and see what his reaction is.

Oh sorry, it's so much better now that we have like a dozen of threads on PS3 sales... whatever I think the weekly charts comment sections are still the best place to talk about numbers imo.

Yeah it looks as though the PS3 will finally outsell the 360 YTD. It was very close in 2007 while 2008 was not so close, but this year it finally will.
And what is it with people in this thread saying the 360 is like the Dreamcast, the 360 is NOTHING like the Dreamcast, the 360 isn't a failure and is still selling at a very good pace, incase you forgot the 360 was up 40% last week again and is still the ONLY console up year on year for overall yearly sales,
32 million sales does NOT equal the Dreamcast, and don't forget the ps3 slim has sold well for one week, one week! a bit early saying things like this don't you think?
