Yeah but the PS2 and GC both had large libraries of IPs they have been working their way through to on the Wii/PS3.

The X-Box barely had anything. Most the 360s big games are new IPs created this gen.

You can say that but the bigger xbox titles that come to mind: forza, halo, Ninja Gaiden, fable have all seen 360 iterations. Can't say the same for the bigger ps2 titles.

I didn't buy the Wii specifically for any games really, except perhaps Zelda, but then I would not have bought the console had I thought only Zelda would interest me.

So Yes, because Zelda has been released, and no, because I didn't buy it for Zelda alone.

Wii missing :

Zelda, F-Zero, at least 3-5 core games with good use of motion controlls from a first/second party developer(I look at you MP3 and i'm ashamed!)

I kind of bought the system as it was 1 or 2 years into it's life cycle and i was expecting nothing but there were plenty of games i wanted to play.

I was going to say yes, but I have to admit I bought the Wii in large part because of the 'promise' of Wii, ie. games like the Star Wars 1:1 lightsabre or a fantastic multiplayer FPS, and a lot of great local multiplayer games that almost anyone would enjoy (there have only been a few that have really met that idea for me, Mario Kart, WSR and World of Goo actually).
