Not necessarily, you could in fact have two consoles with the exact same library, the exact same specs and options, but still one did more for the industry then the other and therefore "better" or ranked higher on the list and it's obvious that's why both Atari 2600 and NES were the top ranking consoles, both consoles drove gaming as a whole after an industry crash, and both made the foundation for consoles and the industry as we see it today, period.

I have absolutely no problem with the list. People forget that Sony has never been much for innovation, more an amalgamation of other developers technologies. The PS1 wasn't revolutionary, it wasn't the first console using CDs, it wasn't the first console with 3D, it was underpowered in comparison to its competitors, it wasn't the first console with analog controls, it was just popular and leveraged to being accessible to developers which worked well against Nintendo's restrictive controls. The PS2 & PS3 are just natural evolutions of the same console, hell it essentially evens use the same damn controller to this day.
People need to apply some perspective to what these consoles brought to the market at the time they were around. Dreamcast was the first to integrate online play into a console out of the box, XBox took online to the next level and first console with a HDD. 360 was the first HD console to market and improved the online component to the benchmark it is today. I think enough has been said about the NES & 2800.

SEGA's fate was sealed after the SEGA Saturn was one of the worst selling consoles of all time & destroyed their brand image.
SEGA itself led to its own downfall

Amiga comps were lovely (damn i miss those times), but they never made a home console.
