Probably because of shipment numbers and so on from the big three. That should point out any wrongs (if any).

As always, thank you for doing this. When I didn't see a post on this last week, I was wondering if you might be giving up on it. Glad to see that is not the case. Still my favorite thread on the site.

Differences compared to NPD only very rarely makes for any adjustments.

Which is why the quarterly adjustmensts are so much bigger.

the just don't do it all at once it's not like this site just copies NPD data but this site doesn't act in a void either.

I'd agree with you that this site doesn't copy NPD but doesn't act in a void, but... one of the most common comments I get is that since the NPD data was so and so we'll see adjustments soon. And it only very rarely happens. I haven't checked NPD data this month, and I haven't hear any comparisons to the VGChartz data either, so I'm not really in a position to give an assessment of the probability of adjustments, but based on the very anecdotal evidence provided by the comments in this thread, Americas adjustments seem just as likely after an NPD comment as any other time.

And Americas adjustments seem to come in lumps, not continous streams as Japan or Other adjustments does.
