Grand Theft Auto IV brought forward numerous changes the way we perceived the notion of sandbox gameplay. With the technological might of current generation it was also able to provide players the option of roaming around the nook and crannies of Liberty City in a massively online universe with all the bells and whistles of the murky city functioning as they were.
Rockstar North’s big announcement at Electronic Entertainment Exposition was regarding Agent, an exclusive that is currently headed towards Sony’s platform. It has now come to our notice that, apparently, there is a multiplayer aspect of the game that is also being worked upon. This deduction is made on the basis of Dave Bruce’s LinkedIn profile where he is currently employed as a multiplayer designer who is currently working on Agent.
Agent is supposedly to be set in the turbulent times of the 1970’s which was the peak of the cold war and is expected to induce a healthy dose of counter intelligence, espionage and political assassinations.
The question that arises is the multiplayer aspect of GTA IV was not well received by the general public although it was critically applauded in most reviews. Till then, we sit and ponder about the basic structure of the game and details that would elucidate this mysterious title to the community.
